Medical Radiological Technologist/X-Ray Technologist (MRT)
Job Description
Detects illness and injury using equipment such as X-ray machines and CT scanners to produce images of the body; Other imaging procedures include Angiography, Fluoroscopy, Mammography and Bone Densitometry; MRTs deal directly with patients while administering procedures and must be sensitive to their needs and be able to put them at ease during a procedure
Educational Requirements
27 credit hours of post-secondary education and completion of an accredited Medical Radiological Technology Program

Job Description
Studies the function of moving structures within the body in real-time using high-frequency sound waves to produce images
Educational Requirements
Graduation from a two-year patient-related allied health education program such as X-ray technologist, nuclear medicine technologist, laboratory technologist, respiratory therapist or registered nurse); OR a relevant Bachelor’s degree and completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology (Medical Sonography) training program
