Research & Innovation Program - Call for 2010 Applications
The final date for receipt of applications for the DSM research and innovation grant competition is October 1, 2010. This competition is for new research only and not intended to extend research currently underway. The maximum value of the award is $12,000.00, to be held for a one-year term. Research should be in the area of laboratory medicine or diagnostic imaging with the focus on improving patient service and care.
The principal investigator must be a member of the medical or scientific staff of DSM and/or a University of Manitoba faculty member. Collaborations between DSM medical/scientific staff and University of Manitoba faculty are encouraged.

2010 Grant Application
Under the leadership of Director Dr. Yvonne Myal, DSM's Research and Innovation Program provides funding for research endeavours that are relevant to the services provided by DSM. This includes research that will provide direction for diagnostic imaging services and laboratory medicine within Manitoba and which will also provide solutions in a variety of direct and indirectly related areas across the spectrum of health care in Canada.
